I was just reflecting on the amazing family we have at Gateway~ God has truly blessed us.  It’s inspiring to see folks doing life together, just like Jesus called us to do life.  To voice your need to God, then see it answered by His people.  To ask for prayer and receive back a dozen responses saying, “I got you covered”.  To witness a grassroots mobilization of giving, to bring relief the the hurting in Haiti.  There is no gathering on planet earth like the church.  And there is no force as formidable and unstoppable according to Jesus (Matthew 16:18).  

Yesterday I was told that most of God’s family @ Gateway has no idea what Live, Grow, Serve means.  Let’s change that-amen?  This is our mission and we need to be able to tell people what we’re all about and why:)

Live for Christ-- because being a light to the lost matters

Grow in Christ-- because your relationship with God and God’s people matters

Serve like Christ-- because giving back inside & outside matters

I want to encourage you to memorize the mission statement and own what it means.  Understand it’s the process behind everything we do-

  -Every week in worship service we strive to Live for Christ--because being a light to the lost matters

  -Every week we meet in a Sunday School, Wednesday, or home growth group to Grow in  Christ--because your relationship with God and God’s people     matters. 

  -Every week we roll up our sleeves to Serve Like Christ--because giving back inside & outside of the church matters.

Live, Grow, Serve--this is Gateway’s mission and process to win the lost (live), disciple believers (grow), and equip the saints (serve).  Now, I’ve said it, said it again, and said it one more time.  Now, it’s your turn.
