Excited for Friday/Sunday Services

It was amazing to see God touching lives as we remembered the power of the cross. You will want to be here Friday and bring a friend back Sunday to experience the the victory of the empty tomb!

We are so blessed as a church! We have a great God and an awesome church family! Friday@ 7pm and Sunday 9 & 10:30am:)

SchadCrew Fieldtrip...Springfield, IL

The Lincoln Memorial/ Museum was amazing!!!! (it deserves every exclamation point). It was a state of the art presentation and facility. The exhibits were excellent, inspirational, and moving. Great for a whole day with the family. One of my favorite elements was the late Tim Russert narrating a piece about the presidential nominees running against Lincoln-with commercials and all. What a treasure! What a leader! Certainly a man that knew the heartache of life and understood the depth of trusting in God. Can't wait to Go with someone next time! The SchadCrew gives it 5 exclamation points:)

Great lines from a great God...

God says to king Abimelech..."You are as good as dead...

Abimelech says...what??  He said..sister, she said...brother!

I think God has a sense of humor.  "Yeah, I know--just wanted to make sweat:)

Gen. 20 is the comic relief before the climax of the book of Genesis and THE foreshadowing of the Father/Son sacrifice to come.  God is sooo good!

Keep at it B90Xers!

Dear Mizzou

Dear Mizzou,
It's ok. U can't win them all. Especially when u go 3 of 22 from 3pt range, shoot 35%, and get out-rebounded 45-28. Other than that u did swell. Maybe the Big 10 would be a lot kinder. Enjoy ur Senior day:)

red letter series

Rls

I'm really excited about the new Red Letter series starting this Sunday! This week we're studying how the sayings of Jesus' can--at times--be hard to believe.  Why is that?  Does He ask too much of us?  Are His words too far out there? Is it easier to disregard them?  If you want to read ahead, check out John 6:1-70.  Beware--verses 53-57 get kind of intense.  Enjoy and see you Sunday! FYI--this series has nothing to do with the liberal, social activist group "red letter christians" and everything to do with living out the teachings of Jesus :)
